"Sharon, sharon! At least ye tho batao ki hum kahan jaa rahe hai" Swayam pleaded for the nth time. "A surprise is a surprise Swayam, and stop fidgeting with the knot!" Sharon said sternly. Swayam's fingers stopped fidgeting. "Sharooon...ye kya bachpana hai?" Swayam whined again. "Mein itni mushkil se drive kar rahi hoon aur tuje ye sab bachpana lagta hai? What the hell Swayam!" Sharon said her tone sounding angry while she bit her lips hard to stop from herself from bursting into laughter, looking at Swayam change his expressions from the cute little pout to an alarmed one. Not hearing her talk for two minutes straight, "Sharon please...naraz mat ho...?" Swayam said, his tone and face worried. Man, she could imagine the effect of his eyes at that moment, feel it too had his eyes not been forcefully blindfolded as soon as he got into the passenger seat of Sharon's car. Surprise date, she'd told him. "Fine, only if you play a game with me" she said, her tone still mock angry. "A game?! How can I play a game with a blindfold around my eyes?" he asked, sulking like a school boy. "Iss game ke liye you don't need your eyes" she replied. "Fine...as you say" Swayam replied in a defeated tone after two minutes. "So let's play...Simon says!" she said happily. "I'm not gonna listen to any simon wimon, coz the only person I listen to, is the love of my life, the one and only Sharon Raiprakash" he said, his dialogue perfect in delivery and modulation. And so was the effect, perfect. A tiny blush of cheeks as she replied curtly, keeping up her act of being pissed off, "Fine Sharon says then" she said, turning a corner before going straight again. Two minutes of silence was all she needed to spot her destination. "Okay, Your wish is my" Swayam said, smiling to himself. "Sharon says, Be quiet for two minutes" Sharon interrupted his dialogue. "There! Yes! We're here!" Sharon exclaimed in delight, happy that she found the place. No response. "Uh...Swayam?" she asked uncertainly turning towards her side. "Oh..." was all she got out before bursting out into peals of laughter, looking at Swayam sulking like a kid, with a sullen expression, his one finger pressed tightly to his lips. "You actually...wait wait...Sharon says freeze!" she said still trying to control the urge to say Awww. Fishing out her phone, she clicked a picture of him, sitting like that, his eyes blindfolded, buried into the seat, a sullen expression with a tiny pout which was interrupted by a finger tightly pressed to his lips. "Sharon says, unfreeze and talk" Sharon said, adoring the way he followed her command. "What the hell was that Sharon?! Why were you laughing? And where are we?!" he asked rapidly. "See for yourself she said, reaching out to undo the knots of his blindfold. A blink later, he took in his surroundings quietly. "Sh...Sharon?" he said quietly. "Haan?" she asked, her eyes adoring his every expression of shock and surprise. "You did this..." he started. "For you" she said just as he finished his sentence"For me?" his voice quiet with the surprise. "Chale?" she asked, nodding towards the ground where two bikes stood. She took his arm and lead him on towards the bikes. "Chalo Mr.Shekhawat, aaj mei bhi dekhthi hoon, aapke bike riding skills" she said, grinning, while Swayam looked up at her. "Is that a challenge Ms.Raiprakash?" he asked, taking a helmet and putting it on her. She nodded biting back a smile. "Challenege accepted" he said, as he took the helmet of his bike and put it on. Strapping on the safety jacket, they hopped on to their bikes and kick started it. "Ready?" she asked. "Ready when you are" he said shrugging casually. She laid down the goal "1 round around the entire ground back to the same spot" "What does the winner get?" he asked, his tone thoughtful. "Winner gets one thing, anything, from the looser" she said. Sealing the deal with a nod, and counting backwards 3..2...1...and vroom their bikes were off, leaving behind nothing but a sand trail in their wake. The race had a predetermined winner. LOVE.
